The Classified

Tapan Basu and Shahnawaz Mosani met each other on a commercial shoot a decade ago. Tapan was the cinematographer, and Shahnawaz was the editor.

On their very first shoot, they found themselves in the middle of a creative discussion on set, which led to spontaneous changes with the director. The film turned out to be a success for the director, client, and agency. This scenario occurred a few more times, and they soon realized that they complemented each other well. Tapan and Shahnawaz began collaborating on multiple projects and essentially became a tag team. As a result, different producers, directors, and agencies started requesting Tapan and Shahnawaz together. Whether it was a style or a narrative film, they became synonymous as a team.

The direction of their collaboration evolved organically, leading to the formation of Classified. They collectively hold more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Over the years, they have continued to work independently in their own areas of expertise. Classified was created with the sole intention of telling stories in their distinctive style. With Classified, their journey continues, and new stories unfold.
